Island ShantyWe meet on the first and third Monday of each month from 2.00pm to 4.00pm at the Hayling Island Community Centre. We briefly explore the origins of Sea Shanties and have fun singing them to our own arrangements.More

Lawn BowlsMeets Thursday mornings at the Hayling Island Community Centre at 10 am. 30 mins coaching is provided followed by refreshments and open bowling. The Hayling Bowls club provide equipment if you do not have your own. Once flood lights are installed at the club, we will also have the opportunity to bowl on a Monday evening.More

PhilosophyWe meet to discuss topics, chosen by the group members, which are of current interest e.g. Migration and Refugees, and link the issue and problems to underlying philosophical ideas, e.g. fairness, community, practicality, human rights. PickleballPickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. It is played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net.More
Play reading 1We meet at the Station Theatre at 1.00pm normally on the last Thursday of the month. Group members participate by assuming a character role in the play and the readings range from well known plays to sit coms and pantomime and everything in between. This is a fun Group which has been running successfully for over a year New members are always welcome.More

Reading 1We get 10 books, usually recommended by group members or from the library, and discuss at meetings. 10am on the third Monday of each month.More
