We meet on the morning of the 3rd Friday of each month and take it in turn to choose an historical subject, research it and prepare a talk on it. We have to admit that the research sometimes only extends as far as printing and reading out a piece from History Reclaimed! Recent topics have included The History of Racism, Rorke's Drift, Margaret Thatcher, the Zinoviev Letter, the Portsmouth Forts, the Battle of Trafalgar, Dick Whittington, Queen Victoria and the Irish Famine.
