News for members of the Ambling group

July Amble Thursday 13th July

I am afraid that it proved to be impractical to arrange the amble on the South Downs this month so we are going to walk on the Farlington Marshes instead. This is a completely flat walk and we should be able to see a great deal of wild life, especially birds, if they are co-operative on the day! Please meet in the usual car park at 10.30am to arrange lifts. We will stop at Northney Farm on the way back for those who would like to have coffee and/or snacks. I look forward to seeing you all on the 13th.

Amble on Thursday March 9trh

The next Amble will take place on Thursday 9th March. If the weather is suitable we intend to drive to Warnford to see the snowdrops in the Churchyard there. They may be coming to the end of there best, but I am sure that they will still be worth seeing. Please meet in the Community Centre Lower car park at 10am to share cars. We will arrange a coffee/snack stop after the walk. Should the weather be inclement we will revert to a local walk at the Eastern end of the Island.

Hope to see some of you on the 9th.

Best Regards
