July Amble Thursday 14th

July Amble - Thursday 14th July .

We will meet at the Community Centre ate 10am to share lifts or at the carpark behind the Esso Petrol Station on Havant Road at 10.15am. We will walk along the Hayling Billy Trail past the Oyster Beds where there are still seabirds nesting. Bring binoculars if you have them. We will then walk to the end of the Billy Trail (northwards) and, depending upon how people feel, we might walk across the bridge to The Ship for a coffee and then return.

Amble to Warblington on Thursday 9th June

The next Amble will be on Thursday 9th June. Weather permitting we will walk from the Ship at Langstone to Warblington Church and return. Please meet at the Community Centre lower carpark at 10am to share cars; or meet at the Ship car park to leave by 10.30am. The tides should be favourable for us to be able to walk both ways along the shore.

We will have coffee at the Ship on our return.

Amble on Thursday 12th May

The next Amble will be on Thursday 12th May. I shall not be here so Sonia Keeble and Eileen Smith will be leading the walk. They would like to leave the Lower Community Centre Car park by 10am, so please aim to be there in good time if you would like a lift or are willing to share cars. Otherwise meet in the carpark of St Peter's Church in time for the walk to leave by 10.15am. The walk will be a circular route of approximately two miles around North Hayling. The path is a little uneven at times, so please bring sticks if you have them, and stout walking shoes are recommended The plan is to drive to Northney Farm for coffee after the walk. I do hope that the weather is kind and that you all have a wonderful time.

Amble on April 14th

The next Amble will be on Thursday 14th April. I intend to stay on the south of the Island for this month to ensure fairly dry walking!

Please meet in the Lower Community Centre Carpark at 10am. We will walk to the start of the Hayling Billy trail and then complete a circular walk returning via North Shore Road and Staunton's Avenue.

Unfortunately there is no convenient place for a coffee stop, but we could go back to the Community Centre for a coffee after the walk if people would like to.

Amble on Thursday 10th March

The amble on Thursday 10th March will be the wet option because the paths in Northney will be very muddy due to heavy rain forecast for Wednesday.

Please meet in the Community Centre Lower carpark at 10am. We will walk tot he Inn on the Beach and then take a short circuit to the beach and return. Possible coffee stop half way.
