Amble on Thursday November 8th

Dear all,

Our amble this month will be from North Hayling. We will walk from the car park to St.Peter's Church where we can see the poppies and the exhibition in the Church. We can have a cup of tea or coffee in the Church Hall and then walk back too the carpark. If people wish we could then stop at Northney Farm for snacks/lunch on the way back.

Please meet in the Community Centre lower car park at 10.30am to share lifts.

The weather forecast is not great so if it is raining we will not walk.

See you on November 8th, weather permitting.

March Amble Thursday 8th March

As the weather has been so bad I have been unable to recce the Portsmouth walk we were going to do this month. So we will walk locally again. Please meet as usual in the Community Centre Lower Car Park at 10.30am. We will take the cars up to Eastoke and will walk from there. I will try to book us into the Coastguard for lunch/snacks after the walk. Hope to see you all then.

Would you like to be more active?

According to the Hayling Islander, Havant Borough Council has been awarded a £147,000 grant from the National Lottery's Sport England to promote sporting activities by residents aged 55 or older.

HBC is looking to find out from you what kind of activities it should support. If you are in that age category and would like to see HBC help you become more active, please complete their questionnaire.

August Amble

There will be no amble this month due to the fact that all the organisers have family or other family commitments. We will meet again in September but in the meantime have a good summer.
