News for members of the Ambling group

The February Amble will be on Thursday 13th February. We plan to walk the Walls of Chichester. Please meet in the Community Centre Lower Carpark at 10am to share lifts. We will park in the Festival Theatre carpark, and we will have coffee and snacks at the end of the walk.

The Amble on Thursday January 9th will be from Emsworth if the weather is fine. Please meet in the usual carpark at 10am. If the weather is unsettled, but not raining we will decide upon a walk on Hayling on the day. A very happy new year to everyone.

As the weather is so unpredictable and the countryside so wet, I think it advisable to walk on the Island this month. We will leave from the usual carpark at 10.30am and will take cars up to Eastoke and then walk along the sea front to the Hayling Island Sailing Club where they would be pleased to provide coffee and biscuits. We will then walk back to the cars either on a return along the same route or on a shorter inland route if people prefer.

The amble on Thursday 11th July will be to Milton Locks. Please meet in the Community Centre Lower Car Park at 10am to share lifts. We will start the walk from the Harvester on Eastern Road and walk into Milton where we will have coffee art the Thatched House pub. We will return to the Harvester and have lunch there.

The May Amble will be on the Hillsea Lines. Meet in the usual carpark at 10am to share lifts. The walk is approximately 2 miles, all on the flat. We will have lunch afterwards at the Blue Lagoon Cafe. Hope to see you then.

The February Amble will be on Thursday 14th February. Meet in the Community Centre Lower Carpark at 10am to share lifts. We will drive to the Ship Inn and walk from there to the Spring Arts Centre where we will have coffee and then return to the Ship.
