Cycling across the USA
Some of you will know Tricia Farnham - one of our members. She'll be presenting her cycling trip across the USA (yes, all 4,000 miles in two sections) - with husband Bill - at next Thursday's monthly meeting.
The presentation is a photographic record illustrating the wonderful sights: the beautiful, the odd, and the downright weird.

Hampton Court visit
We have just a few places left for the visit on Wednesday, July 19th.
To whet your appetite, you can see a Channel 5 documentary on Hampton Court Palace here.
More information about the visit here (go to the bottom of the page to make your booking online). Click here to see alternative booking arrangements. Note that you can now pay for visits by bank transfer.
Seashore plants and animals
This month's Birds and Wildlife visit is a little different to the previous ones. Bill Farnham - a retired lecturer in marine biology - will help us see there is a lot more to harbour life than 'green goo'.
We'll be meeting at The Ship car park at 6pm on Sunday 25th June. The unusual date and time is to take advantage of one of the lowest tides of the year.
We expect to spend about an hour in the harbour, after which a few of us might adjourn to one of the local pubs.
All members welcome. More details here.

We are invited to a Whiskey sampling event with 25% off the ticket price.
I'm not a great whiskey lover so I won't be accepting the offer of two free tickets. Not sure if they were specific to me. If you'd like to chance your arm, let me know.
We send this email on the week-end before each monthly meeting. If you have something you'd like to include please let me know.
