Seashore plants & animals

We’ll be looking at the different plants and animals on the seashore in Langstone harbour. Bill Farnham - a retired lecturer in marine biology - will help us see there is a lot more to harbour life than 'green goo'.

The date and time are chosen to match a very low tide so we can see as much as possible.

Conditions will be muddy and slippery so wellies or waders (or even old shoes - if you don't mind them getting into a state) are essential. You might also find a magnifying glass helpful.

We'll spend about an hour on the shore before returning home or adjourning to the Ship or the Royal Oak.

Car parking is available near the Ship.
