The Solent seabirds
Wesley Smith is the Site Manager of the RSPB Reserves in Langstone and Chichester Harbour. Next Thursday, 18th October, he will give us an overview of the seabirds that make the Solent their home, the issues they're having and what conservation methods are being used in an effort to maintain these natural populations. Driverless cars
Last month the Science and Technology group intended to discuss "Electric cars and driverless cars" but it only got to cover electric cars. On Wednesday October 24th the group will resume the discussion, this time focusing on "Driverless cars". Click here for more details.
David Evan Hughes
We're sorry to have to tell you that David Evan Hughes, a member of the inaugural team that set up our U3A and a member of the committee for many years, passed away on 2nd October. His funeral will be at St Mary's Church on Wednesday 17th October at 2.00 pm.
Subscription reminder
