Illness and world leaders

Robert Palmer - a retired anaesthetic consultant at Queen Alexandra hospital - will present at Thursday's monthly meeting: 19th January 2017, 2:00 at the Hayling Island Community Centre.

He'll describe how world events have been influenced by a range of different illnesses suffered by world leaders and pose questions about how we choose our leaders.

National Gallery: Going Dutch

The National Gallery, London is hosting an exclusive U3A study day on Thursday, 9 March 2017 from 11:00 to 15:30.

Going Dutch will focus upon the great Dutch artists of the 17th century.

Spring concert

The Brandenburg Festival Chorus will be introduced and conducted by Robert Porter, the Brandenburg Choral Festival of London’s Artistic Director. The programme will include a selection of a cappella and organ favourites, and the ever popular Vivaldi Gloria.

The concert takes place on Tuesday 25th April at Temple Church in London.

If you go to the members' area on the Hayling Island U3A web site, you'll see a 'Your calendar' option under 'Events' in the menu below the site heading.

Click or tap the option to see a calendar showing all the events organised by the groups you belong to.

If you use a calendar on your phone, tablet or PC you can incorporate HIU3A events automatically. Click here to find out how to do that and to get the web link you need.
