Good to know you enjoyed it. I’ll try to arrange a more rural ride next time.

Once again the weather for tomorrow (Tuesday) is not looking good. I propose a second postponement to Wednesday which is looking overcast but mostly dry. Sorry if you can’t make it, but weather seems to be in the driving seat this month.

Thursday is looking even better but Peter and I need to be at the Community centre in plenty of time for the u3a meeting (it’s membership renewal time).

The rain was supposed to have passed over by now. But it hasn’t.

I propose to postpone to next Tuesday and hope for better.

How about a ride this Friday morning (8th)? – could be our best chance of a ride for a while.

My suggested default is a short ride to Stansted Park garden centre, but we can discuss possible alternatives when we meet.

OK, let’s stick to plan B – Bosham on Tuesday. Forecasts are looking a little better but still somewhat confused.

We have a couple of issues with the postponed ride:

    • Peter Haskell tells me the Woodmancote will be closed. So far it’s the ‘usual suspects’ that have expressed an interest in the ride, so I suggest Bosham as an alternative.
    • The weather for Tuesday is not looking great again. The forcasts are inconsistent about rain, but all the ones I use say there’ll be strong winds. Monday looks to be a better day, though. May be we should go then instead.

    Thoughts?

The weather forecasts are all saying something different for tomorrow, but the upshot seems to be we stand a significant chance of a soaking.

I therefore propose a postponement to next Tuesday 10th July.

OK, I’ll postpone the ride to next Tuesday 13th June. Please let me know if you want to come and whether you’ll ride there or take the train.

Would it help to re-run on Tuesday 13th?

I’m going to try to get to the end of the funeral, if not the start. Depending on timing of the ride and ferries, I might have to break away from the group and do a sprint to Emsworth.

The weather forecast for the 18th is looking good.

We haven’t been to West Stoke for a while? Anyone game?

Both the Met Office and BBC are forecasting a cold day tomorrow with more than 60% chance of rain all morning, so I think we should postpone to 14th March.

I’ve been suffering from a cold all week so it’s unlikely I’ll be riding on Tuesday. Sorry.

I suggest a trip to Compton as most people know the route. You can see the usual one in the Portsmouth CTC route library here. Feel free to post an alternate suggestion.

I don’t think we’re going to get a booking for that many people even with some dropping out.

Instead, I propose a trip to Hillier Garden centre tomorrow (Monday) which says the coffee shop will be open. I’ll go with whoever turns up at 10 at HIADS (or later at The Spring).

I’ll keep an eye on the weather and, if it’s looking good, make a booking at the Woodmancote for next Tuesday (10th). Let me know if you can make it (weather permitting).
