Mahjong 2

We meet every Thursday at HICC starting November.

Rummikub 2

We meet to play Rummikub every 1st Monday of the month at the Barley Mow, 10am to 12pm.There will be an alternative date for Bank Holidays.

Scrabble D

We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 2.30-4.30 pm to play Scrabble.

Pickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. It is played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, over a net.

It is slightly less physically demanding than other games and centred around having fun. It can be played by any age group and is a very sociable, friendly activity.

The rules are simple, and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.

We meet to play Pickleball weekly each Monday afternoon at the Hayling Community Centre between 4 and 5.30pm.

Rummikub 1

We meet to play Rummikub on the 4th Friday of each month 10-12 at The Barley Mow

Uckers

Uckers is the naval version of Ludo, played for over 100 years. This year, the final of the Uckers World Championships 2020 will be played on one of the new aircraft carriers.

One of the many prizes sponsored by Pusser's Rum is a unique, special edition, five litre barrel of 'gunpowder proof' rum marking the 50th anniversary of the rum issue being stopped in the Royal Navy by the Admiralty, forever known as 'Black Tot Day'.

HMS Victory will also host an 'Uckers Fest' in July.

Hayling U3A will be entering a number of teams of two players each into the heats for the finals, alongside other teams from Hayling including the British Legion.

To prepare for the heats, teams will meet at the British Legion. If you don't have a partner, we'll pair you up. We'll also teach you how to play, but you probably know most of the rules already.

Petanque 1

Petanque Group 1 meets and plays at 2.30pm on every Tuesday afternoon, and on every Thursday and Sunday morning at 10.30am, at Seacourt, 20 Victoria Avenue, Hayling Island PO11 9AJ.

The Group hires Seacourt's Petanque Terrain and players attending the sessions each share the £12.00 cost per hour to hire of the Terrain. All group members are required to provide their own boules (3). Members are allowed free access to the Seacourt Club bar and toilet facilities before, during and after the sessions. We are grateful for the investment made by Seacourt in renewing the gravel on the Piste.
