A glimpse through the door of No. 10

Christine Ames worked at No 10 Downing Street on the permanent staff from 1967 -1973 during Harold Wilson and Ted Heath’s terms of office. She'll be telling us something about her experiences at the monthly meeting next Thursday, 16th March at 2pm.

Our newsletter

We've had requests from thirty households so far asking us to stop sending them the printed version of the newsletter - which is a great start. Thank you to those that have responded.

Agreeing to receive the newsletter electronically reduces costs and saves volunteer time and effort in distribution. You might also find the electronic version is more useful to you than the printed one.

Click here to find out more, and see a sample of the online newsletter.

In the meantime, Janet Coates-Jones is putting the Spring newsletter together. Please send articles to her as soon as you can.

How to: contact a group leader

If you need to contact a group leader, find the group using one of the options shown under the 'Groups' menu on the web site (shown just below the heading on every page). Click the 'more' link shown to the right of the group's description to see the main group page.

If the group has one leader, you will see their name towards the top of the page and a link that will show you their phone number and a simple form to send them an email.

If the group has multiple leaders, click 'Group leaders' towards the top of the page to see a list of leaders with links to contact any or all of them.

This feature is described in more detail together with other web site features in the online web site walkthrough.

We send this email on the week-end before each monthly meeting. If you have something you'd like to include please let me know.
