Chair report
This was given by Trevor Brash Vice Chair in the absence of the chair due to health issues.
Thank you all for attending the AGM.
We have been fortunate to have another very successful year. Highlights included:
- Starting several new interest groups including Island (Sea) Shanties
- Maintaining our membership levels to be over 550 with many new recruits
- Continuing with well attended monthly meetings averaging 100 members per month
- Great publicity on our many activities throughout the year including a YouTube video which has gone viral
None of this could have happened without our dedicated volunteers who help organise our events and Interest Group activities – so I would like to thank all the Committee (who make my life easier with their support), our monthly meeting tea monitors, our visit co-ordinators and also all of our Interest Group Leaders who make it all possible.
Finally, we must thank Andy Henderson for the design and up keep of our website which continues to evolve and help us all manage our activities.
Treasurer
The accounting methods used were outlined and explained to members, together with an overhead projection of the current state of finances.
These were proposed by Mike Burnham and seconded by Sonia Keeble.
