There was an old man with a beard
Who said, 'It's just as I feared!
Two owls and a hen,
Four larks and a wren
Have all built a nest in my beard!'

And he couldn't sit down for the weeds!

Sunlight pierces clouds

illuminates autumn trees.

Leaves glow in splendour

Green leaves of summer

rustling in the autumn wind

heralds winter frosts.

The city wakens

I walk in the early light

A moment of calm.
