The Group's aim is to look into Family History rather than just 'family trees'. This will include looking into the life of our ancestors by discussing their work and living conditions, health and diets etc.
Some of the members are addressing this over 10 year spans,focused on census returns, others are following more specific lines of enquiry e.g. a specific family member.
We can also look at the process of genealogy e.g. problems with census returns, use of search engines, websites etc.
We meet monthly - on the first Monday of each month, 2-4pm at The Barley Mow.
