This pretty walk is a little over 4.5 miles, includes a hill and a scenic walk around The Trundle.
We meet at the Community Centre to car share and depart by 9am.
Park on the wide verge of Church Lane beside the River Lavant near the junction below the West Dean Store and cafe in postcode PO18 0QY, map ref 856 124. We plan to start walking at 10am.
At The Trundle there are seats for anyone who doesn't want to walk around The Trundle. Sometimes there is a mobile coffee kiosk.
Options for lunch are the cafe near the start and end of the walk or a short drive to the restaurant at west Dean Gardens PO18 0QZ.
The walk is best done anticlockwise to enable an easier climb. Leaders using Osmand may need to use the reverse direction option.
