Meet at West Town Car Park by 9.15 a.m. for car share to the Jolly Drover at Liss, by the side of the B2070. The grid reference is SU788263 and the postcode is GU33 7QL. The pub will not be open when we arrive.
We will start the walk when everyone is ready, and 10.00 at the latest.
We start by going down the side road to the small car park at Durford Wood and go through the wood emerging to good views of the South Downs. We turn past Carrolls Cottage and re-enter the wood, returning to the car park by a different route.
The total distance is 3.3 miles with no stiles and 400 feet of height gain.
The route is on greensand so reasonably good underfoot, but it is recommended we wear walking boots and walking trousers.
We will have lunch at the Jolly Drover, with food needing to be pre-ordered via the walk leader two days before the walk.
