Based on stewardess Violet Jessop’s memoirs, Jane Glennie takes you back to the fateful voyage of the Titanic and explains how Violet came to be one of the lucky survivors.
Jane is an actress and historian with 30 years experience bringing history to life in museums, theatres and heritage sites. She has been presenting popular and entertaining theatrical talks for the past 12 years in Hampshire.
How to join the meeting
Requirements for the meeting are:
- A PC/Laptop, tablet or phone with a reasonable internet connection speed
- Speakers (internal or external) or headphones
Full participation will also need a microphone and connected video camera.
The Zoom conference will not be time-limited, so there will be no need to log back in after 40 minutes. Attendance is, however, limited to 100 sessions. We expect that will be enough, but please share a session if you intend to join from the same household.
