Note that we've brought the date forward a week from the usual schedule to avoid the bank holiday.
Meet at West Town Car Park by 9.00 and drive to Sidlesham. Park at RSPB Reserve car park, price £2, postcode PO20 7NE, grid reference SZ856965.
Alternatively there is free parking available about 300 yards north of the RSPB reserve on the opposite side of the main road to Selsey. Turn right at the “Trojan Timber Products” sign and drive past their entrance to park at the southern end of the lay-by formed by an old road straightening scheme.
We aim to start walking by 10.00. We start off by going to the RSPB Visitor Centre with toilets and a chance to buy a coffee. We then follow the coast to Sidlesham Quay then inland a little way and down to North Wall where we can pause a while and maybe see egrets or marsh harriers.
This is a 3.5 mile walk with no stiles or height gain.
There may be some mud and puddles in one or two places if we have a lot of rain in the days before the walk. However, we will avoid paths which are always wet as they are under water at every high tide.
We will drive back to the Bosham Inn for lunch at about 1.00.
