We plan to organise car shares in advance, so will not meet at West Town car park.

We will leave our lunch orders before we start the walk at 9.45 a.m.
The route goes East, eventually joining a track alongside the A27 then leaves the main road again and descends to the watercress beds just outside Arundel. We climb back up from Chalk Springs trout fishery and return via Newell Wood, arriving back at the pub by 1.30 at the latest.
Most of the paths we use are packed aggregate, so it should be generally dry underfoot. There may however be a few muddy and puddly stretches after heavy rain.
The total distance is 6.6 miles, with 700 feet of height gain.
