Meet at Stoughton Down Car Park grid reference SU815126, postcode PO18 9JG for a 10.3 mile walk with 1250 feet of height gain to Hooksway, via Chilgrove and the South Downs Way. Have a picnic lunch on Didling Hill and/or lunch and a drink at the Royal Oak, Hooksway (the pub would like us to arrive around 1.30 p.m.).
The walk has 3 significant climbs, starting with a climb up Stoughton Down, then a long climb from Chilgrove to the South Downs Way, and a climb from the pub to the main road in Hooksway. None of the climbs and descents is steep.
