We will organise car shares in advance, so will not meet at West Town Car Park.
We will meet in School Lane just East of the Hamilton Arms, School Lane, Stedham, GU29 0NZ, grid reference SU857223 to start the walk at 10am.
We'll walk by the River Rother, visit Woolbeding village, then climb steadily to Woolbeding Common for good views back to the South Downs and the Hangers, a good spot for a picnic lunch at the 5.5 mile mark. We return via Iping and a different stretch of the River Rother, with the total walk just under 10 miles with 900 feet of height gain.
The Hamilton Arms stops serving food at 2.30 and closes at 3.00 so we might just be in time for a drink if anyone wants before we set off home.
