We will work out car shares in advance and leave Hayling around 9 to 9.15.
Park near Hawkley Inn grid reference SU746291, postcode GU33 6NE, for walk start at 10.
The walk goes to Hawkley Hanger and Empshott Green to see swathes of wild garlic. Some of us recce'd this route in early May 2025 and the wild garlic was past its best, so we thought the last week of April would be an ideal time to see it this year.
The walk is 5.6 miles in length with 750 feet of height gain.
We will be mostly on greensand so we should not be too troubled by mud or lying water.
Lunch will follow at the Hawkley Inn.
