We will organise car shares to Chawton Park Wood car park, grid reference SU 672361, postcode GU34 5ED. (No toilets unfortunately).
We plan to start walking when everyone is ready, and no later than 10 a.m.
The walk goes through the wood then around the edge of Medstead before heading for Bentworth (at 4.5 miles) where we can sit by the gold postbox for coffee.
We then return to the cars at Chawton Park Wood (with 3 stiles, all close together).
The walk is generally firm underfoot, though there may be short sections which are muddy and/or puddly.
Total distance 7.5 miles, total ascent 500 feet, with no steep climbs or descents.
Lunch is available at either Nosh Cafe for light lunch options 4 minutes drive away, or The Selborne Arms with regular pub food about 15 minutes on the way back to Hayling.
