Longer walk: Bentworth

This is a 10 mile walk (11 miles if we take the detour to the pub in Bentworth) that starts in the Chawton Park Wood car park in Chawton, GU34 5ED (see map).

The 'Fancy Free Walks' web site describes the walk:

This is a lovely walk through rolling Hampshire farmlands and woods. Paths are good with very few nettles, some stiles and, on the whole, dry underfoot although there may be a bit of mud in places. The walk is not suitable for a large dog because of one or two high stiles.

At the centre of the walk is the pretty village of Bentworth, with one remaining (but very good) pub.

We will meet to car share at 9.00 in the West Town car park. Note this is earlier than usual because of the distance to the meet point.

I suggest a packed lunch but we can - if we want - stop at the pub in Bentworth for some refreshment.

This is the planned route (it's a more accurate version than the one I published originally):
