The low tide predictions for July 18th are 11am with a height of between 1.0 and 1.3m which is quite low. We therefore meet in the usual spot in the outer Community Centre car park at 9am to start the walk by 9.15 to reach the West Winner Sandbank at about 10.15. The Sandbank stretches out about a mile and takes about 20 minutes to walk each way so we will be back off it with a large safety margin. The walk length is about 6 miles.
I propose lunch at the Ferryboat at 12.30
We then return via Ferry road and tracks through the gorse.
Terrain includes pavements, shingle, sand and of course water, I use sandals and bare feet. It can be breezy even on the hoped for warm days.
