Hidden depths: Women of the RNLI

An opportunity to find out how women have always been at the heart of the RNLI and its work of saving lives at sea. The talk will transport you to all parts of our coastline and introduce you to some fascinating women. Expect tales of courage, endurance, enterprise, imagination, loyalty, commitment and immense generosity. Be prepared to shed a tear but also to laugh out loud.

Sue Hennessy was a Founder Principle of the Lifeboat College in 2004 retiring in 2008 to write, garden, travel and volunteer for other good causes, one being as a teacher in South Africa. She has now founded the charity Future Bright Trust to support the education of orphans in South Africa.
