Meet at the Barley Mow at 9.35 and catch 31 bus at 9.43 to Havant. Catch 700 Coastliner at 10.12 to Mill Lane, Fishbourne, postcode PO19 3JP, grid reference SU838046, arriving at 10.37.
This is a 4.0 mile walk with minimal height gain and few stiles.
We go through the reedbeds and along the side of Chichester Harbour. The path then heads inland to Church Farm. We return to Fishbourne using Park Lane and local footpaths.
The route should be dry underfoot in the summer months, though heavy rain shortly before the walk may create some mud and puddles, especially in the first mile of the walk.
Lunch is booked at 1 p.m. in the Bull’s Head, Fishbourne. The pub’s menus are online and they would welcome pre-orders – unfortunately the pub is not open to take orders when we start the walk.
