Meet at the public car park by the Hayling Island Community Centre to car share, leaving at 12 noon for the car park at The George, Finchdean- SU738127 or PO8 0AU.
Pre-orders for lunch are required. Please look at the menu of The George Inn on its website to make your choice. Please let Peter Haskell know as soon as possible.
We'll meet at 12.30 at the George for lunch at 1. We can then walk after lunch at leisure. We will walk on the east side of Finchdean. In Markwells Wood. There are 5 stiles. We should be back at the George by 1pm.
The route is shown below. Nb the revised route encountered just 5 stiles. There are short sections of the path that are slightly overgrown so some may want to wear adequate leg protection. There is a 10 minute uphill section in the latter part of the walk although not very steep.
