Walderton

This walk supersedes the original thought that we might go for a walk around Dundridge.

Approximately 5.2.miles, no stiles.

We will meet in the outer Community Centre car park as usual for a lift share and 9.15 departure to meet again in the car park of the Barley Mow, Walderton, PO18 9ED (www.thebarleymow.pub).

As we hit a bank holiday once again, we have reserved lunch for 12 and, as before, we would appreciate knowing numbers so that we can make changes in advance. Please contact Pamela Elliott or Peter Haskell to confirm, thank you. The pub will welcom us on arrival for the start of the walk and will take orders for lunch, but not payment.

The walk itself is fairly classic West Sussex with a gradual uphill climb early on and a short steep descent later in a hanger. Mid-walk there is an excellent view point with a seat for refreshment. There are no stiles! The terrain is narrow country lanes, bridleways and well-trodden paths.
