We'll start the walk, an undulating 7.3 miles, at 10am.
The walk goes west behind Stead Coombe then down through the woods in the direction of Chilgrove, before returning through West Dean Woods and along the South Downs Way.
Vegetarian lunch is available at the Flint Barn café, 200 yards west of the car park. Or we could adjourn to the cafe at West Dean on the drive back. The going should be generally good underfoot even if we have had a lot of rain by then.
