We will meet at the usual place, West Town Park car park (not the Community Centre car park), at 8.45am, to share cars. Please let me know if you'd like a lift, or can offer lifts and to how many passengers.
The 4½ mile walk will start from the car park of The White Horse Pub, Chilgrove, postcode PO18 9HX, at 10am. The pub does not open until noon on Mondays. They have requested that I send lunch choices to them a week in advance. Please look at the menu, then send your meal choice to me by Sunday 16th July. Please state if you have any food allergies, or particular dietary requirements.
The walk is mainly on tracks, some of which are uneven, with sharp flints, so I advise thick-soled shoes, or boots. The final three quarters of a mile is on a narrow, bendy lane, so we need to be aware that traffic could appear suddenly.
I plan to pause at about half way round for elevenses, so please bring a drink and snack with you. Sorry, I didn't see anything except grass to sit on during the recce. (The Royal Oak, Hooksway is closed on Mondays, so we cannot pop in there.)
