This is a 3.1 mile walk with minimal height gain.
We start through the Pallants then walk a short way on the remainder of the walls to the South-East of the city then deviate from the walls as far as the canal basin. We then go on the far side of the walls to the South-West on a path which could be a little muddy after heavy rain, and go round the Bishop’s Palace gardens, which is partly on grass. We cross West Street and walk on the walls to the North-West, and then the walls around Priory Gardens. We return along East Street and go into the refectory in the Cathedral cloisters for lunch.
