Meet at the Barley Mow at 9.35 and catch 31 bus at 9.47 to Havant (toilets in the bus station). Catch 700 Coastliner at 10.12 to Pottery Lane, Nutbourne, postcode PO18 8RN, grid reference SU786055, arriving about 10.30.
This is a 4.5 mile walk with only 20 feet of ascent, and 2 stiles.
We go north to cross the railway at Nutbourne Station and turn back southwestwards at the edge of Hambrook. We recross the railway and the A259 to join the path along the edge of Chichester Harbour to Emsworth Marina where we turn northwards again into Emsworth where we have a range of drink and/or lunch options before catching the 700 (every 20 minutes) back to Havant.
There should not be any problems with mud in a normal summer but please wear appropriate footwear given the weather forecast and if there are rainy conditions in the preceding days.
