Backstage tour of Chichester Festival Theatre

Important: although the visit is not until July, we need to pay for our group booking by 26th March. We will therefore close booking on 20th March - the day after our next monthly meeting.

We have arranged a group booking for the Chichester Festival Theatre backstage tour on 18th July starting at 10.30am. It is intended as a companion to the performance of My Fair Lady later in the day. However, the two events can be booked individually.

The guided tour lasts 75 minutes and explores how theatre is made! Discover backstage spaces, how shows are created, and experience the famous Festival Theatre stage. You’ll hear all about the theatre’s beginnings and what makes this building so special and come away with insider knowledge about what happens behind the scenes.

There's more information on the Chichester Festival Theatre web site.

We have arranged a group booking for £14 per member.

You'll need to make your own way to the theatre and back. There's plenty of parking at the theatre. The 700 bus drops passengers by the cathedral and it's then a half mile walk to the theatre; alternatively, the 60 bus stops at the cathedral, is fairly regular, and can take you to within about 200 meters. Please get in touch if you are willing to offer or accept a car share.
