A four mile route through undulating Hampshire countryside. It starts with open views over the South Downs and weaves through ancient woodlands with mainly wide paths which can be muddy after rainfall. There are no serious hills although a couple of inclines in the woods.
We meet as usual at the Community Centre outer carpark (the one next to Station Road, by the public toilets) to car share at 8.50 am for a 9.00 departure to the Hinton Ampner car park SO24 0NH. The car park at Hinton Ampner Gardens is free.
After the walk, we will lunch in the barn of the Local, Friendly Pub in Cheriton | The Flower Pots Inn & Brewery SO24 0QQ, a 3 minutedrive away. Pre-orders may need be taken on the day, arrangements nearer the time.
Please let Peter know if you would like to come, have lunch whether you can offer or require a lift.
You can view this walk on the Hinton Ampner web site or OS Explorer map OL32.
