Steve Russell is a professional engineer, a Portsmouth lifeboat crewman, and lifelong mariner who has experienced two tsunamis. First hand experience has given Steve the rare chance to convert this impossible legend into a widely accepted fact.
Roger has been a pianist with Manchester Jazz band since 1995, he is president of Stockport Operatic Society and Artistic Director of Manchester Athenaeum Drama Society. He will talk about the fascinating lives of Gershwin, Kern, Porter, Rodgers, Berlin, Carmichael, Fats Waller and beyond – and their wonderful music.
