      I was holding off suggesting a ride until Peter Haskell and I had done a recce of the new East Hayling ferry.

      Turns out it probably won’t be appropriate for one of our rides because there’s a 20-minute or so walk with bikes over sand to get to any decent path.

      Instead, I suggest a ride to Stokes Bay and the Bayside Cabin. That involves the West Hayling and Gosport ferries.

      The weather is looking windy but dry and maybe even sunny!

      We’ll take the 10.20 sailing from Hayling.
