Visit to the Houses of Parliament

Monday 12th January 2026. This visit is now fully booked. There is a waiting list, please add yourself if you are able to make it or if you are interested in a follow up visit later in the year.

Walks planning meeting

Monday 19th January 2026. The meeting will be held in the Barley Mow from 10.30 to 12 noon. There are usually some people who stay on after 12 for a carvery lunch. Do buy a drink or something to eat on your way in and remember to put your car reg. into the machine. We will establish the year’s itinerary for:

  • Bus walks
  • 3 to 6-mile walks, usually held on the 4th Monday of the month
  • Longer walks, usually held on the 1st Friday of the month.

There will be an opportunity to discuss the possibility of a short (probably midweek) walking holiday – maybe on the Isle of Wight or Purbeck/Dorset?

Come along if you:

  • would like to lead a walk for us – the experienced walk leaders can help you with anything you need – e.g. coming on the recce with you, or putting the route on the website
  • have any ideas about what you would like the group to do this year – even if it’s only putting a word in for repeating one of your favourite routes!
