The walk will be about 8 miles starting from the Star and Garter Inn in East Dean (PO18 0JG - see map above) - having parked near the pub. It's one of Christopher Summerville's walks described here. You can also see the route on a mapping web site that also shows heights and gradients here.
Please bring plenty to drink, and something for a mid-morning break. We are planning to have lunch at The Fox Goes Free which is approximately 1 mile from the Star and Garter Inn where we parked the cars.
I will organise car shares nearer the date when I know who is definitely coming, leaving Hayling roughly around 9.15am. We'll start the walk as close to 10am as possible. I expect to get back to the pub around 1.30-2pm.
