Welcome

Welcome

Welcome to the Hayling Island u3a web site. As part the UK-wide u3a network, Hayling u3a helps its members to make the most of life once they are no longer in full time work by exploring new ideas, skills and interests.

There is no age restriction to join our organisation and we enable all our members to learn, stay active and have fun. It’s local, social, friendly, low-cost and open to all.

Come join our many members, share your skills with others, take up something new and develop your interests in a friendly atmosphere. Learn, Laugh, Live!

We have more than 50 groups for different activities including:

  • Literature and reading
  • Arts and craft
  • Board and card games
  • Musical groups
  • Outdoor physical activities
  • Monthly talks
  • Visits...

... and we are always looking to expand our activities. Let us know if you have an idea for a new group.

You can see a full list of our current groups here and the same list by activity here. Some of our groups are full but we are always keen to set up additional groups with the same subject if there are several members interested.

If you're interested in a group that's full, its main page allows you to register your interest even if you are not a U3A member.

Click/tap here if you'd like to join us.

At our next monthly meeting on Thursday 16th May at 2pm, we'll hear the final part of Andrew Negus' 'The weird, the wild and wonderful' talk series. Following that, we'll be celebrating our 18th birthday with sandwiches, cakes, tea, coffee and a quiz. Entrance is £2 for non-members, refundable if you join on the day. More details here.

Subscriptions for 2024/25 were due at the end of March. You can renew - and check whether you have paid - here. We can accept cheques, but we'd prefer card payment or a bank transfer.
